Mrs. Georgia Sue Ashby Hill

Mrs. Georgia Sue Ashby Hill, age 64 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson after a five year courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 03, 2017. She was born in Stokes County on October 12, 1952 to the late George Ashby and Katherine Bullins Ashby. Georgia had been a bus driver for 38 years for Stokes County Public Schools. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ivan Hill; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Hill (Lula); one daughter and son-in-law, Marie Hill Stanley (Mitchell); grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, and Josh; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tommy Ashby (Lynn) and Pete Ashby; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Freda Best (Sam) and Margaret Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, Virginia. Burial will be private.
