Mrs. Geraldine Clifton

Mrs. Geraldine Bowman Clifton, age 71 of Stuart passed away Tuesday morning at Pioneer Community Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on Jan. 26, 1938 to the late David and Piney Pack Bowman. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Clifton; a daughter, Teresa Clifton; one grandchild; one great grandchild; one sister, Lucy Agee; and one brother, Ronnie Bowman. She attended Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church and Riverside Tabarnacle.
Surviving are two daughters and a son in law, Nancy Agee of Stuart, Janice and Tony Wimbish of Stuart; three sons and daughters in law, Donnie and Sandy Clifton of Patrick Springs, Gerald and Vickie Willard of Patrick Springs, Michael and Deborah Clifton of Stuart; 13 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; one sister, Jolene Merriman of Stuart; and four brothers, William "Pete" Bowman of Stuart, Johnny Bowman of Stuart, Danny Bowman and Calvin Bowman both of Mayodan, NC. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastors Jonathan and Shannon Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
