Mrs. Geraldine Bowman Merriman

Mrs. Geraldine Bowman Merriman, age 64 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at her home. She was born in Stoneville, North Carolina on April 27, 1947 to the late David W. and Piney Pack Bowman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Merriman was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Merriman; three sisters, Geraldine Clifton, Lucy Agee and Shirley Bowman; and one brother, Ronnie Bowman. She was a member of Riverside Tabernacle Church.
Mrs. Merriman is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sharon Bowman of Martinsville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Johnny Bowman of Stoneville, North Carolina, William Bowman of Stuart, Calvin Bowman of Cheboygan, Michigan and Danny Bowman of Mayodan, North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mrs. Merriman will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Bud Sedwick officiating. Burial will follow in Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
