Mrs. Geraldine Conner Boyd Mullens

Mrs. Geraldine Conner Boyd Mullens, age 68 of Woolwine, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on January 21, 1938 to the late Samuel Howard Conner and Ella Mae Goode Conner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mullens was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert William Boyd; one sister, Era Elgin; and seven brothers, Estelle, James Howard, Cline, Johnny, Thomas, Charlie and Curtis Conner. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and had retired from Liberty Fabrics.
Mrs. Mullens is survived by her husband, Dewey Mullens of the home; one step-son, D. G. Mullens of Christiansburg; one brother, Willie Conner of Martinsville; two sisters, Lucy Philpott and Charlotte Belcher, both of Woolwine; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mullens will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Melton and Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolwine Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
