Mrs. Gertrude Marie Monday

Mrs. Gertrude Marie Warren Monday, 83 of Oneida, TN, passed away Saturday in Huntsville, TN. Mrs. Monday was born in Alexander County on March 5, 1931 to Clyde Benjamin and Ruby Abercrombie Warren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Bertha Monday of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren, Keith Carter and wife Dolly; Karen Jean Waldrop and husband Robby, Tabi Smith and husband Smitty and Zack Monday and wife Brenda; fifteen great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Monday was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Oscar Monday; a daughter, Karen Monday; a granddaughter, Sharon "Neese" West and brothers, Harold Warren and Paul Warren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Oakdale Cemetery by Rev. Buford Jessup. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
