Mrs. Glenda Kaye Roberts

Mrs. Glenda Kaye Roberts, age 61 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount. She was born in Patrick County on December 13, 1951 to the late Cecil and Elaine Woodall Corns. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Corns, and a sister, Beverly Corns. She was employed for 25 years as a secretary with United Elastic Corporation until she became disabled. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a loving, kind and devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Garland Douglas Roberts of the home; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy and Sammie Griffin of Stuart, Connie and Daryle Martin of Collinsville; a special niece, Kaitlyn Martin; and a special nephew, Matthew Griffin and wife, Crystal.
A graveside service for Mrs. Roberts will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mark Collins officiating.
