Mrs. Gracie Mildred Hylton

Mrs. Gracie Mildred Hylton, age 92 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the RJ Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital in Stuart. She was born on September 15, 1915 to the late Herman and Nannie Wood Hall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hylton was preceded in death by her husband, Stowell Hylton; one grandson, Ronald Belcher; one great-grandson, Chris Belcher; one sister, Stella Hall; and one son-in-law, Ellis Reynolds. She had worked at Floyd Garment, and retired from Bassett Walker Industries. She was a member of Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hylton is survived by one daughter, Ivalien Reynolds of Patrick Springs and two sisters, Katherine Boyd of Roanoke and Nannie Clayton Boyd of Meadows of Dan.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hylton will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Calvin Reynolds, Rev. Jim Churchwell and Doug and Joyce Swinney officiating. Burial will follow in Conners View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Ivalien Reynolds, 2441 Old Mill Road, Patrick Springs.
