Mrs. Gracie Marie Padgett

Mrs. Gracie Marie Padgett, age 87 of Hartsville, TN and formerly of Westfield, NC passed away Thursday at the Smith County Health Care Center in TN. She was born on March 23, 1924 in Patrick County to the late James and Emma Lou Collins Owens. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sanders Roy Padgett; and a brother, Walter Lee Owens. She was a member of Collinstown Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Larry and Angela Padgett of Hartsville, TN; a foster daughter, Deborah Ellington and husband, James of Sandy Ridge, NC; 3 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Kelly of Fieldale; and two brothers and sisters in law, Carl Lee and Reva Owens and Robert and Nell Owens all of High Point, NC.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark George officiating. Burial will follow in the Collinstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
