Mrs. Hallie Custer Kendrick

Mrs. Hallie Custer Kendrick, age 96 of Patrick Springs and most recently of the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Patrick County on April 25, 1916 to the late Charlie J. and Lucy Martin Custer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kendrick was preceded in death by her husband, Levi M. Kendrick, and three brothers, Ralph, Roy and Sanford Custer.
Mrs. Kendrick is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, C. L. and Betty Kendrick of Martinsville, Buren Kendrick of Bassett and Bradford Kendrick of Patrick Springs; and one sister, Beadie C. Jarrett of Martinsville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kendrick will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Dr. David Towler and Pastor Tom Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Custer Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
