Mrs. Hattie Burnette Hagwood

Mrs. Hattie Burnette Hagwood, age 92 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in West Virginia on April 15, 1915 to the late James and Appie Rucker Burnette. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hagwood was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Hagwood; two brothers, Samuel and John Burnette; and one grandchild, Jenny Penn Malik. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church.
Mrs. Hagwood is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Julius Reynolds of Stuart and Alease Lily of Columbus, Ohio; two sons and daughters-in-law, Oneal and Carlene Floyd of Columbus and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Floyd of Columbus; two grandchildren, Ray Penn of Stuart and Sean and Kim Berly Reynolds of Stuart; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hagwood will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Pastor Roger Hagwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery.
