Mrs. Hazel "Polly" Turner Boothe, age 66 of Ferrum, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on October 8, 1942, and was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Turner, and one sister, Christine Bowman. She had worked at J.P. Stevens Woolwine Plant for 42 years.
Mrs. Boothe is survived by her husband, Edgar Lee Boothe; one daughter, Pam Hall of Ferrum; two grandchildren, Tiffany Hall and Bethany Hall; her mother, Fannie Hall Turner of Woolwine; four brothers, Roy Turner of Woolwine, Hansel Turner of Woolwine, Leonard Turner of Rocky Mount and Troy Turner of Woolwine; and two sisters, Cathleen Whitlow of Collinsville and Eunice Turner of Woolwine.
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Boothe Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Dewayne Troutt, Rev. Luther Hopkins and Doug Whorley officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitlow/Griffith cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the homeplace.
