Mrs. Hazel Irene Branche

Mrs. Hazel Irene Branche, age 94 of Christiansburg, and formerly of Stuart, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Wheatland Retirement Community Home in Christiansburg. She was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia on March 30, 1917 to the late John Abe Martin and Maggie Mae Newman Martin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Branche was preceded in death by her husband, William Ernest Branche, and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Glenwood Primitive Baptist Church in Glenwood, West Virginia.
Mrs. Branche is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Leber of Ohio, Retice Trump of West Virginia; one sister-in-law, Shirley Branche and her husband, Bernice of Alabama; and a special room-mate, Ruth Harrah of Wheatland Retirement Community Home.
A visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Primitive Baptist Church in Glenwood, West Virginia with Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating.
