Mrs. Hazel Marie Meadows Hopkins

Mrs. Hazel Marie Meadows Hopkins, age 91 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Hopkins was born in Jones County on May 6, 1925 to Ossie and Mary Meadows. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are a sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Gladys Hopkins; and Charles and Cheryl Hopkins; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Pete Haynes; grandchildren, Steven Hopkins, Phillip Hopkins, Michael Hopkins, James Hopkins, Brady Hopkins, Norman Hopkins, Karen Hill and Ginger Hemmings; and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lewis Hopkins and her fourteen siblings. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2017 at Skyline Memory Gardens by Rev. Zane Fishel and Rev. Hank Robertson. The family will receive friends Monday at Moody Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
