Mrs. Helen Rayle East

Mrs. Helen Rayle East, age 95 of Patrick Springs, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at her home. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on May 6, 1915 to the late George W. and Louise Irene Meade Rayle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. East was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Chesterfield "Dick" East, and two sons, Jackie Ray East and Charles Francis "Chuck" East. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and had been a hairdresser.
Mrs. East is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Pat East of Patrick Springs, five grandchildren, Sharon Welborn, Cynthia Clark, Jason East, Leslie Williams and Rachel West; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. East will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Thisse and Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
