Mrs. Helen L. Martin

Mrs. Helen Lura Martin, age 72 of Stuart passed away Friday at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on April 13, 1940. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mertie Goad Hall; and a sister, Darlene Smith. Mrs. Martin attended Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church and was a Nurses Aide at RJR Memorial Hospital in Stuart.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Johnny Martin of the home; one daughter and son in law, Stacey and Phil Martin-Baker of Wilson, NC; and one son, Ronnie Martin of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Barry Clement officiating. Burial will follow in the Shadow Hill Martin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
