Mrs. Helen Ann Holt Shelton

Mrs. Helen Ann Holt Shelton, age 61 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County on May 5, 1950 to the late Edgar Edd Holt and Delcie H. Holt. In addition her parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by a niece, Patty H. Stanley. She had worked at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by her husband of 37 years, Taylo Dean Shelton of the home; one step-son, Andrew Dean Shelton of Germany; two step grandsons; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Janet Holt, Jimmy and Nancy Holt, Walter Holt, James Holt and Willie and Rhonda Holt, all of Stuart; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Benny Baliles of Stuart and Linda and Randall Fain of Ararat; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelton will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of her sister, Patsy Baliles.
