Mrs. Hilda Fay Hutson Bruner passed away at her home on Saturday, April 15, 2017; went home to be with her Lord and beloved faithful husband of 56 years, Billy Ray Bruner. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Edna Hutson; three brothers, infant Billy Hutson, Kenneth Dale Hutson and Leonard Hutson; one sister, Mary Ruth Atkins; one brother-in-law, Bobby Bruner; two sisters-in-law, Lena Bruner and Virginia Hutson; and one special cousin, Mary Ann Tolbert. She was born in Surry County on February 22, 1942 to the late William and Edna Johnson Hutson.

Billy and Hilda Bruner were member of Little Mountain Baptist Church in Ararat, NC and that is where they brought their children up in love of God and church. Hilda was a devoted, faithful and loving wife, mother and sister to her family. Surviving is one daughter, Frances Diane Bruner LeGue and son-in-law, Charles David LeGue of Ararat, NC; one son, Russell Ray Bruner and daughter-in-law, Tena Marie Bruner of Ararat, NC. Five grandchildren, Jessica LeGue, Jennia Turney, Destiny Bruner Welch, Hope Hester and US Marine LCpl Colton Ray Bruner; two great-grandchildren, Mylee Opal Turney and Laci Jo Turney; two sisters, Annie Mae Bruner of Mount Airy, NC, Jerry and Bonnie Shropshire of Dobson, NC; three brothers, Bobby Hutson of Ararat, NC, Ronnie and Iva Lee Hutson of Ararat, NC and Randell and Sharon Hutson of Mount Airy, NC.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on April 20, 2017 at Little Mountain Baptist Church with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Steve Johnson, Reverend Ray Hutson and Reverend Zane Fishel will be conducting the services. Her body will be carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service. The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC.

The family would like to first thank God for a wonderful set of Christian parents, grandparents and great-grandparents that have enriched our lives and others around them throughout the years. We would like to thank all those who have shared in our lives up until this time and pray to God that we will all be together soon someday in Heaven forever. Amen.
