Mrs. Ilene Sheppard Rorrer

Mrs. Ilene Sheppard Rorrer, age 65 of Stuart passed away Friday at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born in Patrick County on July 10, 1947 to the late Elbert and Alice Doss Sheppard. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister, Othelia Sheppard. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Bro. William Rorrer of the home; one son and daughter in law, Kevin and Pam Rorrer of Ararat; one daughter, Cindy Rigney of Stuart; five grandchildren, Miranda Lane, Jaret Rorrer, Levi Rorrer, Chase Rigney, Wesley Rigney; and one brother and sister in law, Raford and Linda Sheppard of Spencer.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Dr. Randy Edwards and Pastor Delmas Rorrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
