Mrs. Iris Rogers Mays

Mrs. Iris Rogers Mays, age 94 of Stuart, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Landmark Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on October 12, 1913. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter L. Rogers and Grace Williams, her husband, Frank Mays who was a former sheriff of Patrick County, and a half-brother, Robert Rogers. She was a longtime member of Creaseys Chapel United Methodist Church, and was retired from United Elastic Corporation.
Mrs. Mays is survived by several cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Creaseys Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Hundley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
