Mrs. Irma Ellington Hawkins Eaton

Mrs. Irma Ellington Hawkins Eaton, 88, of Mt Airy passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born in Stokes County, NC on March 13, 1928 to the late James Hudson and Nellie Jane Martin Hawkins. She is survived by her daughter, Geneva Nelson Durham and husband, Lynn; sons, James Donald Nelson and Clyde Michael Nelson; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Sam Hawkins and wife, Doris. Mrs. Eaton was preceded in death by husbands, William Grover Nelson and Romly Eaton; a son, Randall Keith Nelson; her parents, James Hudson and Nellie Jane Martin Hawkins and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Coe and Elder Jesse Hutchens. Burial will follow at Northview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
