Mrs. Jacqueline Smith Edwards

Mrs. Jacqueline Smith Edwards, 67, of Mt. Airy passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 5, 2016. She was born in Surry County on December 26, 1948 to the late Eugene Jack Smith and Etta Frances Niten Smith. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Dixie Edwards and husband, Bobby Jones, Faye Collins and husband, Keith; a son, Tony Edwards and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Korbyn Edwards, Nickee Blizzard and husband, Jacob, Toni Atwell and husband, Justin, Austin Collins, Brandon Jones, Macie Jones, Kolte Poore and Josh Thomas; one great grandchild due in May 2017; sisters, Debra Smith and Kay Morris; a brother, “Big Boy” Smith and wife, Norma, and a brother-in-law, Buddy Shinault. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Decosta Edwards; and sisters, Frances Gwyn and Linda Shinault. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.
