Mrs. Janet Leigh Wilcox Kenny

Mrs. Janet Leigh Wilcox Kenny, 59 of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Surry County on August 26, 1956 to Barbara King Wilcox and the late Bruce Wilcox, Sr. Mrs. Kenny was employed with Northwest Eye Center as long as her health permitted. She was a dedicated member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Kenny was creative and enjoyed making various crafts. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to everyone, always putting others first. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Kenny is survived by her husband, Tony Floyd Kenny; a son, Lee Kenny; a sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Ricky Vass; a brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Randi Wilcox; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Chamblin officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday, from 12:30 until the time of the service.
