Mrs. Janet Kaye Gatewood Snow, 66, of Dobson entered Heavens Portals on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rockingham County on December 22, 1945 to the late George and Evelyn Shelton Gatewood. Mrs. Snow was a retired seamstress from Washington Mills and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who filled her home with her unconditional love. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Lee Snow of the home; her beloved children, Timothy J. and wife Gail Snow of Dobson, Angela Snow and fiancé Rick Buzzi of Mooresville, Julie Snow and fiancé Jerry Shull of Elkin and Steffanie Snow and fiancé Jamie Brown of Thurmond; her grandchildren, Brandon Swift, Tiffanie Johnson and husband Alex, Hannah Brown, Cody Shull, Sonya Boyd and husband Toby, Carrie Pack and husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Katlyn Southern Brianna Pack and Kera Pack; several special members of her extended family and her best friend, Pam Dalton. Her funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Blain Oakley with burial to follow in Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, January 2, 2012. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, Woltz Hospice Home and ICU Unit of Northern Hospital of Surry County, for the loving compassionate care given during this difficult time.
