Mrs. Janice Marie Cockram Sumler

Mrs. Janice Marie Cockram Sumler, age 37 of Bassett passed away Thursday due to the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Martinsville on March 9, 1973 to the late Thomas Paul Cockram and Julie Marie Salmons Cockram. She graduated from Patrick County High School and was a C.N.A with Hand in Hand Home Health Care in Martinsville.
Surviving are her husband, Mike Sumler of the home; a daughter, Cheyenne Marie Sumler also of the home; two brothers and a sister in law, Otis and Brenda Cockram of Manassas, Danny Cockram of Meadows of Dan; and several Aunts and Uncles.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in the Jacks Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
