Mrs. Jennie "Jewett" Hall Lawless

Mrs. Jennie "Jewett" Hall Lawless, age 79 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on March 4, 1929 to the late W. Clarence and Mamie Stovall Hall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawless was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Lawless, and two brothers, Martin and Benjamin Hall. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and retired from Blue Ridge Nursing Center as a certified nursing assistant.
Mrs. Lawless is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Chloe and Harry Lee Litten of Stuart; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Patsy Lawless of Stuart and Mike and Mildred Lawless of Patrick Springs; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jane Hazelwood of Stuart and Evelyn Stevens of Caramel, Maine.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lawless will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
