Mrs. Jenny McCraw

Mrs. Bessie Virginia Adams McCraw, age 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. McCraw was born in Surry County on July 25, 1938, to Ellard and Edith Kemp Adams. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. “Jenny” was a devoted Christian with great love for her church family. She cherished the fellowship and friendship’s built thru the years. Jenny touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Surviving are her husband, Billy McCraw; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Michael Gates; Pamela and Glenn Scott; a grand-daughter, Hannah Gates; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Adams; brother, John Lester Adams, several nieces and nephews, and several special friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers in law, June and Tom Shinault and Jane and Paul Ott, a brother and sister in law, Guilford and Linda Adams, sister in law, Mary Adams. Funeral services will be held on October 26, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy at 2:00 PM with Rev. Larry Phillips with burial to follow at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
