Mrs. Jessie Antoinette Coulson Dawson

Mrs. Jessie Antoinette Coulson Dawson, age 89, of Ararat, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Dawson was born in Carroll County on September 9, 1927 to Thomas Sperry and Louella Clementine McMillian Coulson. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a faithful Christian. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Everett Dawson; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Hoofnagle, Kay and Douglas Pittman, and Lynn and Randy Felts; grandchildren and spouses, Tracy Eastridge, Kristina and Sal Marrero, Richard Warner, Emma and Nathan McGraw, Erin Kate Loncharic, Courtney Felts and Ray Felts; great grandchildren, Abigail Eastridge, Beth Ann Eastridge, Marc Marrero, Isabella Marrero, Tristan Warner and Brad Warner; great-great grandchildren, Lukas McGraw and Greyson Everett McGraw. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dawson was preceded in death by sisters, Alyne Ayers, Josie Hylton, Sylvia Yarbrough, Mary Hiatt and Virginia Ferguson; brothers, Clarence, Okra and Lester Coulson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Israel Easter and Bruce Ayers officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening, December 28, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
