Mrs. Jessie Wilson Woodard

Mrs. Jessie Wilson Woodard, age 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Woodard was born in Surry County on September 9, 1931, to Brisco and Nollie Lowe Wilson. She was such a loving person who will be deeply missed by all her family and many friends. Among the many who will always cherish her memory are daughters and a son-in-law, Terrie Hudson; Debbie and Lacey Walthall; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Ann Smith; a step daughter, Sandi Hibbs and husband Jeff; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Benny Patton, Nancy and Lewis Melton, and Lorraine Wilson; and brothers and a sister-in-law, Johnny and Jean Wilson, and Jerry Wilson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Woodard; and a brother, Robby Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Zane Fishel, Rev. John Pulliam, and Rev. Jacob Hall. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home beginning at 12:30.
