Mrs. Jo Anne Shackelford Shelton

Mrs. Jo Anne Shackelford Shelton, 85, of Winston Salem passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at her home. She was born in Surry County on January 6, 1932 to the late John Jackson and Cora King Shackelford. Mrs. Shelton was a retired C N A and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debonne Boger and Shane of Lexington; sons, Charles Randall Shelton of Charlotte, and Steve Anthony Shelton of Wilmington; grandchildren, John Gray Spillman and Felicia of Lexington, Randall Brice Spillman of Greenville; great grandchild, Eleanor Grace Spillman; a sister, Betty Brown of Pilot Mountain; a brother, John Jackson Shackelford of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Shackelford Glass; a grandchild, Parker Gray Spillman. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with John Gray Spillman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time to leave for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
