Mrs. Joyce Linda Emmons

Mrs. Joyce Linda Emmons age 72 of 1835 Quaker Church Road, Siloam, NC wife of Mr. James P. Emmons passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1939 in Alma, GA to the late James Allen Thompson and Alma Thompson. She was a loving caring, wife , mother, grandmother and an friend to everyone. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist and was retired from BB&T Bank. Surviving are her husband, James P. (Jim) Emmons of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Steve Petsch, DeSoto, MO, son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Julie Moore, Douglasville, GA, three step sons, Daniel Emmons, Robert P. Emmons and James P. Emmons and two grandchildren, Josh Moore and Chris Moore both of Douglasville, GA, a sister-in-law, Sheila Scott, Winston-Salem, and a niece and husband Sarah and Tommy Starling, Winston-Salem. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October14, 2011 at Anchor Baptist Church Cemetery The service will be conducted by Bro. Ken Aman. Burial will follow in the Anchor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 in Mrs. Emmons name.
