Mrs. Joyce Corder Rowe

Mrs. Joyce Corder Rowe, age 62, of Dobson went to be with the Lord Thursday December 21, 2006. She was born in Surry County on November 10, 1944 to the late Dillard Greene and Annie C. Corder. Joyce was an active member of Rockford Baptist Church. She was the church clerk and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was retired from Yadkin Valley Telephone in Yadkinville. She was dearly loved by her family and she dearly love them; keeping a special place in her heart for her four grandchildren. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of forty four years Thomas Franklin Rowe of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Kim and Tommy Doss of Mt. Airy, Karen and Steven Porter of Dobson; four grandchildren Adam Doss, Ashley Doss, Carrie Royall, and Jared Porter; two sisters and brother-in-law JoNell Corder Branch and Eugene of Mt Airy, Jean Corder Branch of Mt. Airy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of life will be held 6 PM Saturday evening December 23, 2006 at Rockford Baptist Church, Rev. Eric Ayers will officiate the service. The family will receive friends and love ones following the service at the Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to the donator's choice.
