Mrs. Juanita Wilmoth Davis

Juanita Wilmoth Davis stepped into Glory on Sunday, November 20, 2016, following an extended illness.

Juanita was born in Surry County, NC on September 29, 1927, to Basil and Lillian Wilmoth. She married Paul Davis on October 5, 1946. They had two children and were married for 63 years until Paul went to be with the Lord in 2010.
Juanita’s passions were her faith and her family, which often extended beyond bloodlines. In addition to being a homemaker for most of her life, Juanita served as a certified nursing assistant for many years caring for the elderly and homebound with the utmost respect and attention.
As a mother and grandmother, she tirelessly read Bible stories and did schoolwork with her children and grandchildren, attended ball games and plays, sewed outfits and costumes and prayed specifically for each of her loved ones on a daily basis. She faithfully remembered birthdays and holidays with personal greeting cards and handmade Christmas ornaments. Her weekly letters to her adult grandchildren always included a Bible verse, encouragement and so much love. As her health declined in 2012, she retained her sweet spirit and unconditional love and was often heard telling her caregivers how much she appreciated them. She will be deeply missed until we meet again on that beautiful Shore.
Juanita is survived by her two children, Linda Davis Langdon (Larry) and Steven Donnell Davis (Jenene), five grandchildren, Jenifer Langdon, Bryan Davis, Lori Langdon, Justin Davis (Casey), and Andrew Pierce (Allie), three great grand-children, McKinley, Wyatt Paul and Amelia as well as a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Fairview Baptist Church in Dobson, NC on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Lee Johnson officiating.
