Mrs. Judy Reynolds Hagwood

Judy F. Hagwood, age 62 of 183 Roosevelt Reynolds Road, Patrick Springs, Virginia departed this life on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. She was born in Patrick County on December 30, 1950 to Bishop James Reynolds and the late Marie Clanton Reynolds. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son "Little" Joe Hagwood.
She was a graduate of Hardin Reynolds Memorial School, class of 1969, and Patrick Henry Community College, class of 2006. She studied early childhood education and was able to share her education before becoming disabled. She felt the presence of the Lord at the age of nine, and became a member of Mt. Nebo Holiness Church. She was a faithful member of the Adult Choir, Ladies Auxiliary, Sunday School and Y.P.H.A.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 38 years, Joseph Hagwood of the home; a daughter, Charity (Brandon) Clapp of Patrick Springs; a son, Lance Hagwood of the home; her father, Bishop James Reynolds of Patrick Springs; two grandsons, Braylon Clapp and Gavin Clapp; three sisters: Nannie Sue Clark, Doris Day Hylton, and Thelma Jean Clark, all of Patrick Springs; three brothers: James Reynolds of Patrick Springs, Julius Reynolds of Stuart, and Brogie Reynolds of Martinsville; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hagwood will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Holiness Church with Minister Leander Reynolds officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart has been entrusted with the services.
