Mrs. Karen R. Coalson

Mrs. Karen Rowe Coalson, age 60, of Winston Salem, formerly of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Marion Sidney Rowe and Mrs. Katherine Jolly. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Thomasville, and a former member of Central View Baptist Church, where she served as organist. Mrs. Coalson worked in the Telemetry Department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Jimmy Coalson, of the home; one daughter, Carrie Utt, of Clemmons; one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Karen Coalson of Mount Airy; one grandson, Samuel Coalson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Mark McCullough, Susie Queen, and Martha and Keith Clark; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and JoAnn Rowe, and Bernie and Dottie Motley; one brother–in-law, Mac and Ethel Coalson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The Funeral will be at 2:00 Saturday at Central View Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Vickrey and Reverend Cory Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Gideons International Dobson Camp, PO Box 791, Dobson, NC 27017. The family will also receive friends at the residence of Joshua and Karen Coalson, 261 Dudley Avenue, Mount Airy NC 27030
