Mrs. Kathleen Holder Johnson

Mrs. Kathleen Holder Johnson, 90 of Mt. Airy passed away at Northern Hospital of Surry County
Monday, July 29, 2013. She was born in Surry County on July 5, 1923 to the late Alex and Lula Byrd Holder. Mrs. Johnson retired from Spencer's after 47 years and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Dale and Donna Johnson of Roanoke, VA; one granddaughter, Ashley Sylvester and her husband, Nick of Moneta, VA; one great grandchild, Vittora "Tori" Sylvester. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Harding; two sisters, Inez Massey and Lillian Lawrence; four brothers, Ora, Gurney, Raymond and Woodrow Holder. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Highland Park Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Tate and Rev. Grover Holder officiating. Entombment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
