Mrs. Kathleen George Marshall

Mrs. Kathleen "Kat" George Marshall, age 77 of Mt. Airy, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Marshall was born in Stokes County on September 26, 1934 and was the last surviving child of Fletcher and Georgia Owens George. She loved spending time with her family and talking to her many friends. Mrs. Marshall would often love and care for stray cats and was a devoted Carolina fan. Surviving are daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Lovill of Mt. Airy; Jennifer and Kevin Inman of Hickory; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Teresa Marshall of Pilot Mountain; grandchildren, Kevin Lovill and wife Charity, Brandon Lovill and Nikki Underwood, Victoria Lovill and Jared Moore, Sydney Marshall, Olivia Inman, Sophie Inman; great grandchildren, Brycen Lovill, Sadie Lovill and Nevaeh Lovill and her best friend Linda Pruitt. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, William "Ted" Marshall; sisters, Lolene Jackson, Lucille Vaden, Frances Carson, Erna Rogers, Helen Woods and Eunice George and brothers, Coy George, Roy George, Brooks George, Swanson George, Enas "Shorty" George and Glenn George. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
