Mrs. Kathlene Sprinkle

Mrs. Kathlene Brindle Sprinkle, age 79, of Dobson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born in Surry County to the late Monroe and Ruby Brindle. She was a faithful member of Crossroads Baptist Church where she led the choir for over 50 years. In addition to her love of the church, her passions included cooking, her family and Duke basketball. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Frank Sprinkle of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Buddy Sizemore of Valdese, NC and Susan and Tony Tolley of Dobson, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Amy Sprinkle of Dobson, NC; grandchildren, David Sizemore, Sasha Sprinkle and Justin McCraw, Whitney and Brandon Collins, Morgan Tolley, Cameron Tolley, Vaughn Wright and Dylan Sawyers; great-grandchildren, Westyn McCraw, Carter Collins, Caden Collins, Madyson Collins, Jaelynn Wright and Landon Wright; sister, Imogene Speas of Dobson, NC; and her brother, Dennis Brindle of Dobson, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Spicer. Funeral services for Mrs. Sprinkle will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Wall, Pastor Buddy Sizemore and Reverend Alton Bledsoe officiating. Her body will lie in state at the church from 1:30-2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, August 30, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, 1035 Crossroads Church Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
