Mrs. Kimberly Anthony Layne

Mrs. Kimberly Anthony Layne, age 50, of Dobson, NC passed away on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Forsyth Co. on November 23, 1965 to the late Vernon Anthony and to Zerita Scearce Rumsey. Kim was a graduate of East Forsyth High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Kim was actively involved in Copeland Youth Baseball and Surry Central High School Boosters. She loved crafting and working on the family farm. Surviving are her husband, Joseph “Joe” Layne of the home; one daughter and her fiancé, Jessica Layne and Jacob Steele; one son, Daniel Layne of the home; mother and step-father, Zerita and Todd Rumsey of Sandy Ridge; step-mother, Francine Anthony of Kernersville; step-sister and her husband, Haley and RJ Marks of Gibsonville; two nieces and two nephews; several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2016 at Siloam Baptist Church, with a private graveside service to follow at the Layne Family Cemetery. Rev. Bill Faw will conduct the services. Her body will lie in state 30 min. before the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
