Mrs. Kitty Mae Martin Goard

Mrs. Kitty Mae Martin Goard age 79, of Stuart, Virginia passed away at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born in Patrick County on February 2, 1939 to the late Joel Martin and Mary “Hazel” Corns Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Franklin Goard and one son, Darryl Fain. Kitty was a member of Bouldin Memorial Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed visits from dear friends, loved her family immensely and adored her grandbabies.

Mrs. Goard is survived by one daughter, Elva Caldwell of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Mabe of Patrick Springs, Virginia, Susan Overby of Stuart, Virginia and Betty Smith of Stuart, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Goard will held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Gary Combs officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
