Mrs. Laura LaVerne Blue Hull

Laura LaVerne Blue Hull, 81, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully in her home on December 24, 2015. She is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Hull Fagan and husband W. Tim Fagan of Charlotte; son Edward Anderson Hull II and wife Mandy McDonald Hull of Raleigh; sister Bonnie Blue Turner of Huntersville; the father of her children Elbert Lee Hull Jr. of Southern Pines, and her many nieces and nephews in NC, VA and CA. LaVerne was born in Mt Airy on February 11, 1934. She graduated from Mt Airy high school in 1952, and recieved her BA from the Women's College (UNCG) in 1956. Laverne was a CMS elementary school teacher and part time Bi-Lo cashier for over 30 years. She was an avid Hornets fan and lifetime season ticket holder. LaVerne was a strong and independent lady full of light, love and laughter. She will be dearly missed by all. The burial service will be Thursday, December 31, 1:00 pm at Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt Airy. A memorial service will be held on January 2, 1:00 pm at University Hills Baptist Church in Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Bannertown Baptist Church in Mt. Airy.
