Mrs. Laura Elizan Guynn McCall

Mrs. Laura Elizan Guynn McCall, age 84 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Patrick County. She was born in Carroll County on August 16, 1930 to the late Steve Guynn and Bessie McMillian Guynn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McCall; a son, Clifton Dalton; two sisters, Hallie Guynn and Bernice Worrell; and a brother, Harry Lee Guynn. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Laura loved reading, word search puzzles, and country music.
Mrs. McCall is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Glenda Jeffers of Edgewater, Maryland and Peggie Rendon and husband, Michael of Stuart, Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph McCall and wife, Alexis Lee of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse Guynn and wife, Margie of Stuart, Virginia and Pastor Grover Guynn and wife, Ruby of Collinsville, Virginia; a sister, Lannie Guynn of Fancy Gap, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. McCall will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, Virginia with Pastor Grover Guynn officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Ross Harbour United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Sunday.
