Mrs. Lena Velna Wilson Lowe Branch

Mrs. Lena Velna Wilson Lowe Branch, 93 of Lowgap passed away at her home on Monday, February 9, 2015. She was born in Surry County on November 3, 1921 to the late George Washington and Martha Jane Wilson. Left to cherish her precious memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Virgil Crouse; a son, Lewis Lowe; grandchildren, Rhonda Cochran, Renae Shaffer, Doug Fleming, Jeff Fleming, Lori Hiatt, Julie Nemeth, Chase Lowe, Becky Hernandez and Eric Lowe; seventeen great grandchildren and two sisters, Geneva Thore and Irene Patterson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Branch was preceded in death by her husbands, Loy Marvin Lowe and Elder Walter “Pug" Branch; a son, Loy Thomas Lowe and six siblings. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Steve Moseley and Bishop Titus Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at the Fisher Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:30 until the time of the service.
