Mrs. Lena Wall Young

Mrs. Lena Wall Young, age 90 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on October 15, 1926 to the late A. J. Wall and Trudie Ray Wall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Young Gilley, a great-grandson, Quentin Redd; and three brothers, Ray, Bobby and Clyde Wall. She had retired from United Elastic with over 30 years of service.

Mrs. Young is survived by her husband of 70 years, Curtis Young of Blue Ridge Therapy Connection; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Young of Rockingham, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Nikki Redd and husband, Chris, Don Young and wife, Alanna, Chris Young and wife, Laura; seven great-grandchildren, Lydia Young, Piper Young, Kayla Redd, Cameron Redd, Julianna Young, Steven Young, Bradley Young; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Christine Wall of Sandy Ridge, North Carolina; a sister, Joy W. Slate of King, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Gary Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
