Mrs. Lila Sue Quinn Hazelwood

Mrs. Lila Sue Quinn Hazelwood, age 58 of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away on October 12, 2017 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rocky Mount, Virginia on March 28, 1959 to the late James Quinn and Pauline Prillman Quinn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, John Robert Hazelwood and a sister, Pam Q. Chappell. Lila worked ten years for Fieldcrest Mills before its closing. After the mill was closed she went on to pursue a career as a licensed practical nurse. She was a very devoted caregiver, who was willing to go the extra mile for her patients. Lila will be remembered for the many wonderful things she was, she said, she did for others, and most of all her contagious laugh.

Mrs. Hazelwood is survived by her husband, James R. Hazelwood of Stuart; children, Daniel Marshall (Rhonda) of Patrick Springs, Jay Hazelwood (Shyla ) of Stuart, and Lindsey H. Keller (Christopher) of Roanoke; two brothers, J.L. Quinn (Nancy) of Hillsville and Samuel Quinn of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Hazelwood will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Virginia with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial will be private.
