Mrs. Lilla Belle Kirkman Spencer

Mrs. Lilla Belle Kirkman Spencer, 81 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. She was born on March 15, 1935 to the late Charlie and Bessie Midkiff Kirkman. Mrs. Spencer worked for Lynn Hosiery for 24 years and completed her career with retirement from Surry County School System. She was a faithful member of Friendly Tabernacle. Left to cherish her memories are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Sue Kirkman of Clemmons and Steve and Linda Kirkman of Mt. Airy and Wanda Kirkman of Mt. Airy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall “Mack” Spencer; sister, Beulah Mae Inman; brothers, Clyde Kirman, Fred Kirkman, Harley Kirkman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 18, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home with Rev. J.L. Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Midkiff Cemetery with Rev. Michael Combs conducting the committal. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
