Mrs. Lillian Estelle Wilson Thomas, 77 of Mt. Airy passed away Friday evening, January 25, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Thomas was born in Mt. Airy, September 8, 1935 to the late Linda Moore Wilson and Earl Jefferson Wilson, Sr. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James O. Thomas; two sisters, Mary Ruth Barker and Maggie Burkett; three brothers, Garnet, Earl, Jr. and Charlie Wilson. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and James Cobbler of Winston-Salem and Jennifer and Gerald Lefevre of Dobson; her loving grandchildren, Erin Cobbler Dickens and husband, Burke Dickens, Nathan Thomas Cobbler and Caleb James Lefevre; two sisters, Mildred Montgomery of Mt. Airy and Betty Faw of Pilot Mountain; a brother, Edward L. Wilson of New Mexico, as well as many nieces and nephews she dearly loved. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wes Mosteller officiating. Burial will follow in the Midkiff Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Mrs. Thomas was a wonderful Christian wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the doctors, and especially the sweet nurses and CNA's who cared for her so lovingly and gently during her last few weeks.
