Mrs. Linda Fay Goins Berttram

Linda Fay Goins Berttram, 67, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center/Palliative Care Unit. She was born May 8, 1946 to the late Oliver Madison Goins and Bessie Overby Goins in Stokes County, North Carolina.
Linda was a member of Collinstown Presbyterian Church. Her working career included years at JP Stevens, Inc. in Westfield, NC; Vanity Fair Corporation and Regents Bank in Baldwin County, Alabama.
Linda moved back home to North Carolina from Stockton, Alabama in December 2009 to be near her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Phillip Douglas Flippin.
Surviving are her husband, Bobby Joe Berttram of Walnut Cove Health Care, Walnut Cove, NC.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Christopher Douglas Flippin (Kerry) of Westfield, NC; Brittany Browder (Ashley) of Walnut Cove, NC. great-grandchildren, Nathanael Flippin, Jaxon and Hallie Mae Browder and step great-grandchild, Alexis Martin; daughter-in-law, Connie Flippin of Westfield, NC; Sister-in-law, Pamela Wade (Robert) of Thomasville, Alabama; uncle and aunt, Frank and Betty Overby of Westfield, NC; special cousin, RW & Alice Goins of Westfield, NC. guardians, Valencia Robertson of Walnut Cove, NC, and Ann Jones of Westfield, NC. Linda is also survived by her special little companion, "Cooper".
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Collinstown Presbyterian Church with Pastor Shaun Draughn and Minister Mark George will be officiating the service. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the church.
