Mrs. Linda Jean "Judy" Cassady

Mrs. Linda Jean "Judy" Cassady, age 61 of Patrick Springs, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on November 19, 1951, and was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Mary Spence Hensley. She had worked with J.P. Stevens for 30 years, had been a substitute teacher with the Patrick County School System, and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Cassady is survived by her husband, Larry Cassady of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda Cassady and Jamie Goins of Patrick Springs, Lisa and Joey Light of Stuart; five grandchildren, Miranda, Samantha and Dylan Light and Isabella and Wyatt Goins; one sister, Margaret Massey of Patrick Springs; and six brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Frances Spence, Sonny and Betty Spence, Fred and Sue Spence, all of Patrick Springs, Raymond and Earlean Spence of Stuart, Bruce and Phyllis Spence of Richmond, and Junior Spence of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cassady will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. J. R. Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Judy Cassady Burial Fund, P.O.
