Mrs. Linda Lee Cooke Dollyhite

Mrs. Linda Lee Cooke Dollyhite, 71 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Dollyhite was born in Surry County, August 28, 1940 to the late Jim and Elsie Lawrence Cook. She was a homemaker and worked in the Surry County School System and a member of Mount Herman United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Athel Dollyhite of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri D. and Keith Deaver of Raleigh, Cynthia D. and Bill Ballard of Mt. Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Mary Ellen Dollyhite of Catawba, Timothy and Candice Dollyhite of Mt. Airy; ten grandchildren; a sister, Barbara C. Mills of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Dollyhite was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lawrence Cooke and James Beauford Cooke. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
