Mrs. Linda Kay McCann

Mrs. Linda Kay Hawks McCann, 59, of Lowgap passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Carroll County, VA on May 10, 1953 to the late Raymond "Elwood" and Nina Galyean Hawks. Mrs. McCann worked in textiles and was a member of Charity Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Charles McCann of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Montie Montgomery of Elkin; a son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Tori McCann of Lowgap; two grandchildren, Catie McCann of Lowgap, and Trevor Montgomery of Elkin; a special friend that was like a grandchild, Hank Ward of Lowgap. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
